Do you do everything, or do we still need to be involved?

We handle the heavy lifting, but we still need your input. Think of bookkeeping like cooking: even the best chef can’t make a gourmet meal without knowing what ingredients you have in your kitchen. We rely on you to provide context and help us classify transactions accurately — Garbage In, Garbage Out (GIGO) still applies. The better you can tell us which transactions are which, the more accurate and useful your financials will be.

 
Do you handle taxes?

Not directly. We don’t prepare or file your taxes, but we can make tax season much easier. We’ll prepare clean financial statements for your tax provider, organize your records, and even liaise with them if needed. This ensures your accountant or CPA has everything they need without adding extra stress on you.

 
What’s the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

​We offer both services depending on your needs and budget:

  • Bookkeeping is the day-to-day recording, organizing, and reconciling of transactions — basically keeping your financial “house” in order. 

  • Accounting takes the next step: analyzing your financials, preparing reports, and providing advice based on the data.

 
What does the process look like to work with you?

Working with us is simple and structured so you always know what to expect:

  • Initial Consultation – We learn about your business, your current bookkeeping setup, and your goals.

  • Onboarding – You provide historical records and grant us access to necessary financial accounts.

  • Setup & Categorization – We organize your chart of accounts, categorize transactions, and get your books in order.

  • Monthly Cycle – Each month we reconcile accounts, classify transactions, and provide a clean financial report with insights.

  • Ongoing Collaboration – You review reports, provide context for new transactions, and we make sure your financials stay accurate and actionable.

How often will you update our books?

We offer monthly bookkeeping, reconciliation, and reporting, so you always have up-to-date insights.

Can you catch errors from past months?

Absolutely! We offer catch-up/clean-up bookkeeping to get your historical records organized and accurate.
